On Tuesday, 22 April 2025, as part of the BIB project, we held a youth workshop titled “Active Citizenship and Mental Health,” which brought together as many as 48 participants. The workshop was delivered through the collaboration of young facilitators under the mentorship of experienced youth workers and trainers. The session explored the connection between social engagement and the mental well-being of young people.

Through interactive discussions, group work, case studies, and personal stories, participants reflected on how they can contribute to positive change in their communities while at the same time maintaining their own mental health.

Special emphasis was placed on empathy, responsibility, connecting with community values, and setting healthy boundaries. The dynamic format of the workshop enabled the exchange of opinions and peer learning, which encouraged a sense of support, motivation, and self-confidence among many participants in their role as active individuals.
