As part of the BIB project, on 15 April 2025 we successfully delivered four workshops aimed at developing emotional literacy, improving mental well-being, and exploring identity through storytelling and mindfulness.

In the first workshop, titled “Emotional Literacy: How to Understand and Express Your Emotions,” participants explored their emotions, learned how to recognise and express feelings, and developed empathy and self-awareness. Using tools such as the emotion wheel, journaling, and role-play, they gained valuable strategies for better communication and personal growth.

The second workshop, “Mindfulness in Everyday Life,” offered participants practical techniques for reducing stress and improving focus. Through guided meditation, physical exercises, and reflection, participants learned the importance of being present in everyday situations.

For secondary school students from ŠC Šentjur, we also delivered two additional workshops focused on storytelling and youth mental health. The workshop “Storytelling for Youth Mental Health” took place in the form of a social game that encouraged open discussion about mental well-being and the role of youth centres in supporting young people.

The final workshop, “Who Am I? Exploring Identities Through Stories,” encouraged students to reflect on their identity—as individuals, as EU citizens, and as part of the global community. Through play-based activities, participants connected emotions with values, diversity, and a sense of belonging to wider society.

All four workshops were conducted in a positive atmosphere, with high attendance and active participation from young people. Participants expressed satisfaction with the content, which they felt would support their personal development and help them cope with everyday challenges. In total, 72 secondary school students took part in the workshops.
